Kayak From Ely to Waterbeach

It’s been a while since we’ve put up any new pics. Sadly we had a bit of a website implosion … I’d like to pretend it was just because we were so popular that our server was overloaded … but actually I just forgot to pay the fees!

A couple of weekends ago we went for a bit of a kayak on our river Ouse. It was kinda cool to start by walking out the front door and putting the kayak in just down by our local pub. Once we got started paddling though it didn’t take long before I realised it was going to be a long hard paddle … we probably weren’t in the best kayaking condition but we did manage all 16 miles or so of it in the end. I got some cracking blisters on my hands and Jan was so sore the next day that she could barely move :)!
